What the heck is SCHLUMPKA??

It's the gunk in your gutters! It's made up of leaves, sticks, tree seeds, mud, smuck, mire, disgusting sludge, dastardly mucous, horrible hideous ooze, tree bark, animal droppings, balls, little G.I. Joe men, tree flowers, worms, dead birds, and other substances too revolting to describe here. It's a horrible substance that is unfit for humans to touch or smell.

Gutter Maintenance Tips:

• Keep tree limbs from overhanging your roof! Deciduous trees shed most of their leaves in the fall, most evergreens shed debris all year long.
• Clean debris off your roof with a soft broom or air blower. Don't use a pressure washer; it will damage your roof.
• Make sure that all downspout extensions are in place and diverting water from your foundation.
• Once a year look at all four sides of your home during a heavy rainstorm. Make sure that all of the water landing on the roof disappears into your gutter system.
