Since you are probably stuck inside staring at the walls and avoiding the cold of winter, why not give those walls a fresh coat of a paint. It is an old wive's tale that you need to open up all your windows and doors. Use a low-volatile organic paint (low VOC paint) that don't produce the awful fumes that traditional paints do.
It is a relatively inexpensive project and sure can brighten up your winter walls and give you a jump start on spring. Not only does it add to your home's appeal, but a fresh coat of paint can make everything look incredibly clean and fresh. So grab those brushes and get started!
