Energy Star Rating

I'm sure when you have been out shopping at one time or another, you have seen something with the Energy Star symbol on it. It could have been anything from an appliance, thermostat or light bulb. The EPA works together with manufacturers, retailers, businesses and many others, to assure you that when you see that symbol, you know that you are purchasing a product that is going to save you money and be good for the planet.

According to the EPA the average family spends $1900 a year on energy bills. With Energy Star that same household can save 30%, or $600 per year on their bills. The EPA is committed to working with businesses, cities and the public to continually improve the efficiency of the products that we need and buy now and in the future.
