Xcel has three different audits that you can choose from according to your budget, that are listed on their website. Here are the three types of audits and what they include:

Home Walk through inspection Get a comprehensive whole house inspection where a certified auditor will:

• Perform a comprehensive inspections of your home’s exterior, such as windows and doors
• Analyze insulation levels throughout the home
• Examine the age, efficiency, and general condition of your mechanical systems
• Perform a basic analysis of your utility bills

Standard Audit Includes everything from the Home Walkthrough, plus the auditor will:

• Perform a carbon monoxide test
• Use the blower door diagnostic tool to determine how much air your home loses each hour, through various air leaks. This air needs to be reheated or re-cooled, increasing your energy bills.

Standard Audit with Infrared Test Includes everything from the Standard Audit including the blower door test, plus an Infrared Test which will:

• Evaluate internal structure such as drywall and insulation
• Scan the walls and ceilings.
• Show temperature differences to see where insulation is present, missing or not working effectively
• Propose more tailored solutions to address air leaks, the elimination of ice dams and reduction of overall conditioned air loss and energy consumption
